Treasure Hunt

As mentioned in the previous post, there were more than 160 new applicants, thus a Treasure Hunt was organised to filter out the more outstanding candidates from the outstanding ones. However only 60+ ppl turned out for the Treasure Hunt. Sushi and Mangosteen was incharge of this hunt, and everything went well. There were 3 sessions, each one hour. Each session will have about 4 to 5 teams, and each team have about 4 to 5 members.

Every team started at TBS gound floor, where they were given a clue to the next station.

Station1 was in TUCMC carpark. In this station, 3 candidates from each team had to walk on 2 wooden planks with 3 pairs of massage slippers attached to it. Its rather hard to describe so take a look at the pictures! A number was given to them after the task is completed.

Go Go Go!

Next station was simple. Station2 was just running up 7 floors in TBS. 3 numbers were randomly pasted around the stairs and candidates were required to memorise those numbers. At 7th floor, candidates were to solve a puzzle, after which they were given the next clue. Sorry no pictures for this station.

Station3 was in TUCMC classroom 2.1. The class was arranged into a maze, and there were rubber bands hangging on straws all around the maze. Candidates were paired up in twos and they had to collect those rubber bands only with a straw in their mouth. Sounds easy? Sure it does, but they had to collect the rubber bands while in the push-cart style. You know, one members walks with the hand, while the other holds the leg up.

A number was located outside classroom 2.1. With all the numbers collect, candidates were required to solve an equation involving + - * /. Lastly, submit the final answer of the equation and give it to the station master at the guard house.

Thats about it for the Treasure Hunt. 30+ candidates were filtered out and asked to come for an interview. After 2 and a half days of interview, 15 candidates passed the interview, and are now under 3 months probation.

The next post will be about new members' very first meeting, and orientation games that we played. Stay tuned!
